Muscat: The Environment Authority has issued a reminder that camping activity in the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve will be resumed only from the first of November of each year.
A statement issued online by Environment Authority (EA) said, ”The authority would like to remind everyone that from the beginning of May to the end of October, which is the nesting season, camping in the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve is prohibited, provided that camping activity is resumed, starting from the first of November of each year.”
“Daymaniyat Islands are beaches that have the beauty and charm of nature. Specialists from the Environment Authority surveyed this morning the beaches of the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve to monitor the reserve and ensure the cleanliness of its beaches, as it noticed the presence of large numbers of birds, including terns and hawks and vultures, (eagles)”, the statement added.
